Like Clowns in a Circus
Politicians are a breed of people who sometimes look like clowns in a circus. Its not that they do not realise it but its just that their profession has made them develop thick hides over a period of time (blame it on evolution to give the devil its due). If I were an Evolutionary Scientist, I would find them good specimen for research and use them for the same. Are you stirring in your grave Mr Charles Darwin?
A clown clings on to power despite the massacre of 1000s in a riot in the state he ruled and his government(while in power)bent under - i won't say Public Opinion but media orchestrated pressure exerted by relatives of hijack victims and released hard core militants in exchange for an aircraft that was hijacked and its passengers. This same clown called somebody else a weak PM.I wonder if he and his strong PM knew what they sacrificed that day. Ask yourselves people if it was only the pride of the country or something more?
And here in Nagaland, iam tired of even scanning the headlines of local dailies as campaign is in full swing and the mud slinging is just too much for my taste. You know sometimes patriotism seem to sound like the proverbial Dead Horse. And some politicos here love to flog it. And all the citizens ask for is Peace. The citizens just do not want anymore killings in the name of anything. They just want to live life peacefully. And i celebrate the spirit of the Common People of Nagaland.
