Office Politics at its Worst

Like it or not, office politics has been in our systems from time immemorial. It is one factor, one driving force in all places of work. One who gets the nuances of office politics right grow in the system and those who dont, drop by the wayside.

Thus its importance is magnified....elaborated and illustrated. Whether we favour it or not has no significant effect or repercussions....things move that way and many of us, sooner or later, learn the hard way and conform. The rest cannot come to terms how their pedigree and their MBA degrees from different top universities across the world have not helped them progress in life.

Workplace like all place else, is filled with humans and their emotions. The sooner people realise that much depends on human perceptions and interpretations, the better it is for them. Idealistic perceptions, interpretations, illustrations do not prove much of use anywhere and that is where the idealistic kind of humanity need to study where they have gone wrong.

In a rat race that counts on efforts and results in a chart, visible to all, we need to know which side the bread is buttered on. Or else, our degrees and MBAs do not get us someplace that we predestined was meant for us. The harsh realities of life.. We cannot accept and become bitter.

Corporate world or for that matter life has its intricacies that we may at first understand nothing about it and later rue when we realise and it is just too late....
