Nostalgia

Bumping into old pals or people who have fleetingly touched upon one's life, gives a sense of nostalgia.

Also the conversations at times give a sense of deja vu.

But the distance and the years that has passed us by somehow left indelible marks in the sands of time.

Times change and so do people. Some people we knew have changed and so have we. Thus beyond the sheer joy of meeting again we know the wheels of time have turned and we can't wish moments to come back or even think they would remain the same.
